We hope you’re doing well and have been enjoying the Support Staff Appreciation Month events!
Labour Day is just around the corner, and we would love for you and your family to join us at the Hamilton Labour Day Parade and Picnic on Monday, September 2, 2024. It’s going to be a fantastic day filled with camaraderie, fun, and great food!
Parade Details
Parade Time
- Meet us between 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Stuart St. and Bay St.
- The parade steps off at 10:30 a.m. sharp!
Parking
- No need to worry about parking—there’s free parking available at Bayfront Park and the West Harbour Go Station.
- If you want to make use of the free parking, we recommend showing up a bit early.
- If you do miss out, there are plenty of other places to park in the area!
Parade Route
- South on Bay Street to York Blvd.
- East on York Blvd. to James Street
- North on James Street to Strachan Street
- West on Strachan to the Bayfront Park entrance

Picnic Details
Picnic Time:
- 11:30 – 2:30 p.m. at Bayfront Park
- There will be free food, gifts and prizes, and family activities!
Why You Should Come:
- It’s a wonderful chance to connect with fellow union members and their families.
- We’ll have delicious food, awesome gifts, and exciting prizes!
- You can be part of an long history of Labour Day parades!
