College faculty members represented by OPSEU/SEFPO are currently undertaking a work-to-rule strike action at Ontario’s 24 public colleges. This comes on the heels of a successful strike mandate, as voted by college faculty members, and after the imposition of terms and conditions by the employer in December.

As such, college faculty are only performing the duties outlined in their job descriptions, and nothing outside the time allotted in their contracts. It’s an effective way to ramp up the pressure on the employer, without placing additional stress and burden on students.

But as these actions escalate, college faculty need your support. Please help us send a strong message to the colleges, and their presidents, by encouraging them to direct the College Employer Council (CEC) to return to the bargaining table.

It’s fast, easy and can make a big difference!

Just go to the College faculty bargaining website and click on a college. Complete the form to send an email to the college president and board chair. It will be copied to: Linda Franklin, President and CEO, Colleges Ontario; Graham Lloyd, CEO, (CEC); Laurie Rancourt, Chair, CEC bargaining team; Jill Dunlop, Minister of Colleges and Universities; Premier Doug Ford; and the OPSEU/SEFPO college faculty bargaining team.

Let’s remind them that it’s time to put students first!

To the hundreds of members who have already taken action – thank you. Your efforts are making a difference and your solidarity matters – because the more emails college administrators get, the clearer and louder the message will be.

Every message matters, so please take a moment to send yours!
